Q. What courses do we offer?

A. We offer PADI recreational courses from Open Water to Instructor, as well as a range of specialty dive courses. Our most popular course for beginners are the Discover Scuba Dive and Open Water Course. For certified divers, consider getting your Advanced Open Water or doing our unique Bermuda Triangle Diver Specialty. For a comprehensive list visit our courses page.

For those divers looking to delve into the Technical world of diving we will be offering the following; TDI and SDI Sidemount Diver, SDI Solo Diver, SDI Wreck Diver, Advanced Nitrox, SDI Deep Diver with more Courses coming! All Technical Diving is operated out of our Somerset location.

Q. Do we provide transfers?

A. Unfortunately, we are unable to pick up guests. The best ways to get to our center is by moped, bus, ferry or taxi.

Bus:

You can catch any of the number 1, 3, 10 or 11 from the Hamilton Bus Terminal directly to our location at Grotto Bay. The numbers 10 and 11 are slightly quicker.

From the bus terminal on Church Street, Hamilton: Travel time is about 30-45 minutes.

From St. George's: Travel time is around 20-30 minutes.

From Kings Wharf, Dockyard: Travel time is around 70-80 minutes. Not including a bus change in Hamilton.

Taxi:

From Hamilton: Travel time is around 20-25 minutes. Cost approximately $45

From St. George's: Travel time is around 15-20 minutes. Cost approximately $35

From Dockyard: Travel time is around 45 minutes. Cost approximately $65-$75 (Mon through Sat) and $80 to $100 on Sundays.

Q. Where can I stay while on Island?

A. We first and foremost recommend the Grotto Bay Beach Resort. However, if Grotto Bay is full or you would like to know of other accommodation close by please visit the Bermuda Tourism accommodation page.

Q. What will the water temperature and visibility be?

A. Although we can't guarantee the conditions we can give you an idea of Bermuda's averages.

Q. Do we offer gear storage?

A. Our dive center is equipped with a storage room where you can leave all your equipment for the duration of your stay on Island. We will wash and clean your BCDs regulators and wetsuits, before locking them in the center at night to dry.

Q. What facilities do you offer divers?

A. Changing rooms located in the bathrooms, we have warm outdoor showers for rinsing off on site.

Q. What do we sell at the dive center?

A. We offer a range of Dive Bermuda branded merchandise, including t-shirts and baseball caps. We also sell sunscreen, lip balms, after sun gel, mask straps, dry bags, wreck maps, Fish ID slates, Sun Shirts/Rash Guards, My Fahlo animals braclets, Bermudian designed postcard and poster, kid’s sunglasses and a range of soft drinks. Unfortunately, we do not sell masks or fins.

Q. What type of diving do we offer?

A. Generally our two tank morning trip is one wreck, one reef. Most of our sites are located within a 40 to 55 minute boat ride from the dive center. The wreck sites between 55 and 75 feet in depth. The shallower reef dive is usually in the region of 30 - 45ft. We check in at 8.00am and try to leave as close to 8:30 am as possible. Depending on the location of the site we expect to be back around 12:30 pm, give or take 20 minutes.

During the months of Mid October to late November will be running a single daily trip. Check in is at 10.30 am returning around 3.30 pm. We will close on the 20th of November until April 1st, 2024.

Q. What do we need to bring with us?

A. If you are a certified diver please bring your certification card for verification by our dive crew. Onboard we have fresh chilled water, sunscreen, fresh cake and towels. There is also a marine head. You are welcome to leave bags and anything you want to stay dry in the dive center. If you have valuables please ask our helpful dive crew who will store them behind the counter. You can bring a limited amount of personal possessions on board, but we cannot guarantee it will stay dry.  Please leave your shoes in the dive center.

Q. Do we offer night dives?

A. Due to the treacherous and shallow reef surrounding the Bermuda coastline, we do not offer night dives. Your safety is our top priority.

Q. Do we rent equipment for shore dives?

A. Unfortunately, we are unable to rent equipment for unguided shore diving. All of our dives are guided by one of our experienced instructor team from our dive boats Bottom Time or Narcosis.
